"You may have already heard that we, in Yellowhead Presbytery are in the second year of a trial of a new Presbytery structure. That structure is an effort to move our Presbytery meetings toward being less driven by the demands of administration, and more driven by questions of mission and community in our current time and context. As a result, many of the standard administrative practises and functions are dealt with and approved by the people already doing the work anyway, with reporting back to the Presbytery Council and Presbytery on a regular basis. The Presbytery Council takes the place of the Executive in our previous Presbytery structure, but is focused on tasks related to mission building and policy setting, while also planning out Presbytery meetings. I welcome you to this time of transition in the life of our Presbytery and invite you to enter with us in our life and work in a spirit of exploration and discovery." Britt Jessen, from the minutes of Presbytery meeting # 153
